Harrison O’Dwyer was founded by Jean Harrison and John O’Dwyer in 2011.
We are a dynamic and progressive Law Firm/Legal Practice with offices in Tralee, Killorglin and Cahersiveen, and with our excellent, experienced legal and administrative team, we takes great pride in offering a wide range of professional and friendly legal service to our clients.

Jean Harrison B.A.
partner & founder
Jean Harrison qualified as a Solicitor in 1997 and having practiced for more than twenty years, Jean has extensive experience advising clients across a wide range of contentious and non-contentious legal matters for many years. Jean having practised as a Sole Practitioner for eight years founded Harrison O’Dwyer Solicitors in 2011 with Partner John O’Dwyer.
Jean specializes in the areas of Conveyancing, Probate and Wills and Litigation. Jean has vast experience in property and Estate transactions and leads the Cahersiveen Branch of the Firm.

John O'DWYER B.A.
partner & founder
John O’Dwyer qualified as a Solicitor in 1996. John was a Solicitor for many years in Killorglin before founding Harrison O’Dwyer in 2011 with Partner Jean Harrison. John continues to work in Killorglin leading our Killorglin and Tralee branches of the firm.
John specialises in the areas of Conveyancing, Probate and Wills and is also highly experienced in the Civil Litigation areas and Personal Injury dealing with P.I.A.B. Applications, and High, Circuit & District Court proceedings.

Geraldine Kearney (BA) (ES) DIP PROPERTY TAX, DIP TRUST AND ESTATE PLANNING
ASSOCIATE
Geraldine Kearney is an Associate Solicitor in our Conveyancing and Probate, Estate and Wills Department.
Geraldine qualified as a Solicitor in 1998 and joined the firm in 2015 having gained extensive experience in all aspects of general practice. Geraldine is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (S.T.E.P) and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Geraldine has vast and extensive experience in all areas of Conveyancing and deals with residential sales and purchases, commercial sales and purchases, site transfers, farm transfers and other complex title issues. She works closely with other professionals such as Engineers, Architects, Auctioneers, Accountants and Tax Advisors to obtain successful outcomes for her clients.
Geraldine has vast experience in the area of Succession Law, Wills, Probates and Estates and deals with all types of Estates, both testate and intestate, Tax Planning, problem Estates, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Wardship Applications and Estate and Wealth Planning.

Scarlett Griffin O’Sullivan (BA) UL (LLB) (LLM) UCC DIP Family Law
ASSOCIATE
Scarlett Griffin O’Sullivan is an Associate Solicitor in our Litigation Department and qualified as a Solicitor in 2008. She specialises in Personal Injuries Litigation to include Road Traffic Accidents, Catastrophic Injury, Fatal Injuries, Accidents at work and Public liability claims dealing with applications to the Injuries Board (PIAB) as well as applications to the Motor Insurers Bureau of Ireland ‘MIBI’.
Scarlett also has particular interest and expertise in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Medical Negligence Claims.
In addition, she advises and represents clients in civil actions in relation to child abuse and sexual assault claims.
Scarlett previously worked with a large litigation practise in the North West and joined Harrison O’Dwyer Solicitors in 2012 and during that time has amassed considerable experience in the area of Family Law. Scarlett is based in our Killorglin and our Tralee offices.
Scarlett deals with all District Court, Circuit Court and High Court applications regarding family law including applications concerning access, custody, guardianship, maintenance, domestic violence, cohabitation, judicial separation proceedings as well as divorce proceedings. Scarlett has also dealt with successful applications outside of the jurisdiction in Ireland including inter alia Child Abduction proceedings.
Scarlett advises clients in regard to separation agreements. She appreciates that the breakdown of a relationship can be a challenging time for all parties and is happy to take the time to deal with all queries discreetly and with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
She also handles a varied litigation caseload at both Circuit Court and High Court level including injunctive proceedings, judicial review proceedings as well as professional negligence cases.
Scarlett is an excellent advocate and believes that everybody should have the right of access to justice.
She is a member of the Family Lawyer’s Association and is on the Family Law private practitioner’s legal aid panel.

Ciara O’Connell B.C.L.
GENERAL PRACTICIONER
Ciara O’Connell, a UCC Law Graduate, qualified as a solicitor in 2008. Ciara gained extensive experience working in private practice around the country, particularly in areas such as Conveyancing, Probate, Wills and Litigation. Ciara joined the firm of Harrison O’Dwyer in 2015 and is based in the Cahersiveen office.
Ciara is a General Practitioner and her areas of particular expertise and interest are property transactions, mortgages, family transfers, rights of way, title and boundary rectifications, agricultural matters, drafting Wills and estate planning, Powers of Attorney, administering estates, personal injury claims, court actions, licensing and employment law.
Ciara takes a practical and sensible approach to all matters with great attention to detail.
